TINIG MINDANAO

The Public Conversations, called TINIG MINDANAO, is a joint undertaking between OPAPP and the Department of Education, to reach and listen to the voices of the people in Mindanao at the grassroots level.

An initial twenty-eight (28) public schools have been identified from Regions IX, X, XI, XII, and CARAGA where the Principals of these schools will conduct their own consultation process with members of their immediate communities.

Each consultation event on the grassroots level will be attended by ten (10) members of the community. The Principal shall serve as both Facilitator and Documenter of this consultation. The idea behind Tinig Mindanao is to provide a venue for people in the communities a chance to be heard on a national issue that directly affects their lives.

The 28 communities where Tinig Mindanao will occur are:

1. Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte
2. Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay
3. Zamboanga City
4. Bislig City
5. Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte
6. Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte
7. Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte (2)
8. Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay
9. Banay-Banay, Davao Oriental
10. Lianga, Surigao del Sur
11. Singao, Kidapawan City
12. Kawas, Surigao
13. Sultan Kudarat (2)
14. Banga, South Cotabato
15. Isabela City, Basilan (2)
16. Icagos, Bukidnon
17. Panabo City
18. Digos City
19. Claver, Surigao del Norte
20. Maurab, Compostela Valley
21. Makilala, Cotabato
22. Mapaypay, Davao del Sur
23. Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur
24. Butuan City
25. Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte
