TEXTERS and Internet users from different parts of the country are heaping praises on ”Dialogue Mindanaw” program of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), calling it a huge step in the right direction in achieving lasting peace in Mindanao.
"Tama ang diskarte ng OPAPP na magkaron ng konsultasyon na tinatawag nilang Reflective Dialogue sa lahat ng sektor ng lipunan di lang sa Mindanao bago pormal na sumalang sa aktuwal na negosasyon sa mga lider ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front,” said the message posted by a certain Ryu Garcia on OPAPP’s social networking site Facebook for “Dialogue Mindanaw” (http://www.facebook.com/mapayapangmindanao).

BACOLOD CITY, Feb. 25 – Eight days after it was launched in Sulu, the “Mindanaw Dialogues” continued to make waves here and proved to be the right vehicle in getting the pulse of the people on the peace process that will help resolve the Mindanao armed conflict.
From Mindanao, the reflective dialogues shifted to western Visayas where 220 individuals from various sectors of society attended the daylong forum at Balay Kalinunan at the University of St. La Salle in this city on Thursday.
The Bacolod consultation included participants from the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Panay, Samar and Leyte. It was sponsored by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) in partnership with Pax Christi-Pilipinas.
It was during the dialogue that the people voiced out their sentiments and opinions on what they thought about the ongoing peace process between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

KORONADAL CITY, Feb. 28 – It was utter curiosity that moved 44-year-old Salima Sirag to join the peace dialogue which she appreciated she did, because for the first time it made her fully understand the thorny issues being discussed between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) at the negotiating table to resolve the long-drawn armed conflict.
“Ano ba ito? Gusto ko marinig kung ano ba talaga ang ipinaglalaban ng magkabilang panig, kaya nakiusap ako sa husband ko na isama ako dito (What is this? I wanted to hear what both sides have been fighting for so I asked my husband to bring me along),” she said.
