GRP, MILF clarifies proposals on draft agreement; Dialogue Mindanao in San Mateo, Rizal and Cagayan De Oro
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- The Government of the Republic of the Philippines and Moro Islamic Liberation Front peace panels met in Kuala Lumpur today, Friday, 05 March 2010 in a question and answer session that clarified many of the proposals of the MILF with respect to their draft agreement.
The GRP panel was led by chairman in Undersecretary Rafael Seguis together with panel members in Department of Agrarian Reform Secretary Nasser Pangandaman and Ronald Adamat even as the MILF panel was represented by chief negotiator Mohagher Iqbal.
“We are elated that the MILF respects the processes and steps the GRP needs to undertake towards achieving a long-term solution to the Mindanao problem,” Seguis said.
